Vegetable Fried Rice

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions

You can easily prepare vegetable fried rice at home. This simple and delicious rice dish is perfect for lunch or dinner.

Step 1

Heat oil in a large pan. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Step 2

Add carrots and peas. Cook for 4–5 minutes until vegetables become slightly tender.

Step 3

Add the cooked rice into the pan and mix well with vegetables.

Step 4

Pour soy sauce and sprinkle black pepper. Stir fry for about 5 minutes until everything is well combined and heated through.
